The film brings to the screen the memories of Esteban, a man of 40 who in 1982 and when he was only 18, was called up and sent off to fight as a soldier in the Falkland Islands. Esteban's contemplations demonstrate how fragile life really is, in the very heart of death. Esteban returns to the Falklands to come face to face with his past, and to heal old wounds.
